S3 is a non-profit organization
dedicated to improving communities through increased educational opportunities
for their residents. We specialize in locating scholarship opportunities
for students who would otherwise have none. Serving as a liaison between the
student and the College, University or Armed Forces is our key to success. In
addition, we represent students with varied interests. From Academics to Auto
Mechanics, Basketball to ROTC, Spelling Bee to Broadway Shows; We will do our
best to help you find the scholarship you need.
Our program is designed for youth in the 8th through 12th grades.
For younger students, we offer a more individualized program.
Mentoring, Tutoring and College Entrance Exam Preparation (ACT,
PSAT/SAT) services are also available.

Phase 1
Target Audience: Middle School Students
This is a critical time in the scholarship preparation process.
We need this opportunity to get acquainted with the student AND the parents.
This is when S3 begins the mentoring stage of the program. Eighth graders and
their parents are introduced to the proper ways to position themselves for College
scholarships.
Phase 2
Target Audience: 9th thru 11th Grades
Ninth graders, in the State of Texas, qualify for free tuition
if they attend college in Texas. We work with the parents and the school counselors
to make sure these students are enrolled in the "Texas Scholars" program. This
group will focus on the developmental process. We will introduce various tools
that will help our students prepare for College Entrance Exams. These tests
include the PSAT, the SAT and the ACT. S3 wants to make sure our students are
academically sound.
10th - 11th grades: We begin the PSAT practice exams and
provide tutoring where needed. Building a strong relationship with the school
counselor is imperative! S3 continues to mentor these kids; go to their school
events, take pictures, take notes, provide periodic entertainment and activities
for them. Now is also the time to work closely with the parents and analyze
their college selection process. Focus is applied to the child's overall G.P.A.
and volunteer experience. Those who are ready may begin to take the ACT/SAT
at this time.
Phase 3
Target Audience: 12th Grade
ACT/SAT Testing is the
focus. College visits are scheduled. College selection is finalized. General
maintenance is applied across the board. Get ready to receive AWARDS! Students
are encouraged to sign with the College offering the best opportunity for them.
