AUGUST 17, 2007 -- SAN ANTONIO ---- Helen Darling, starting point
guard for the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars, celebrated the release of her
first book with a book signing at the AT&T Center after the game with the
Indiana Fever.
Darling's book "Hide-N-Seek Monday" is the first of her DAYS OF THE WEEK
book series. Inspired by Darling's triplets, the children's book series is
designed to promote literacy and encourage family development.
"My books are to educate, entertain, encourage, and inspire," said
Darling, a 5 year WNBA veteran. "I am sure that families will enjoy them
at home just as much as teachers enjoy them in the classrooms."
Darling has reached agreements for grassroots development and consulting
with To God be the Glory Sports for the Days of the Week book series. The
agreement guarantees an annual percentage payment from book sales to support the
TGBTG Sports Project Build A Gym.
TGBTG Sports director Cyril White was on hand to support Darling at her
signing. TGBTG Sports provided bookmarks, flyers, and promotional
assistance for the event.
"It is a privilege to work with Helen on her project," said White, who
published 2 books in 2006 through TGBTG Sports. "We believe that the
impact of her products will be far reaching, and we are glad that she has agreed
to
support TGBTG Sports Project Build A Gym as her project continues to prosper."
